DJ LAB PRO is the first mentorship program crafted for emerging DJs from Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, and the Baltic States. It merges a boot camp at Carbon Silesia Festival, a stage performance, and six months of tailored mentoring to elevate your DJ career.There are only 12 slots - one of them could be yours.
Emerging DJs residing in Central, Eastern, Baltic, and Southeastern Europe. Eligible countries include: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine. We accept all electronic music genres, and applicants must be at least 18 years old.
What does the programme include?
On-Site Marketing for DJs Workshop at Carbon Silesia Festival (Zabrze, Poland);
Showcase slot on the Fresh Faces stage at Carbon Silesia Festival 2025. You will perform on one of the two festival days. The exact performance date will be communicated once all participants are selected;
Personalized one-on-one mentoring session;
Webinars and masterclasses covering career development, strategic touring management, networking, mindset development, and advanced marketing strategies;
A collaborative community space for peer support and resource sharing;
When and where is the bootcamp?
The boot camp takes place during the Carbon Silesia Festival in Zabrze, Poland, from 13 to 14 June 2025.
How many spots are available?
Twelve. Competition is high, so ensure your application is complete, consents are correctly marked in the form, and your mix effectively represents your artistic identity.
What does it cost?
Participation is completely free.
We cover:
Travel reimbursement up to 400 EUR per person (based solely on train, bus, or plane tickets; economy class). Reimbursements will be processed after the festival performance and the mentoring phase, with payments scheduled for completion by February 2026.
Two nights in a designated 3-star hotel in Zabrze during the Carbon Silesia Festival 2025;
Festival access, hospitality, and participation in the boot camp and festival
Participants are responsible only for their personal expenses, such as meals outside of festival catering, extras, drinks, and souvenirs.
What do I need to prepare for the application?
A mix that effectively represents your artistic identity (maximum 60 minutes);
A link to a public SoundCloud set titled ‘DJ LAB PRO by VG DJ LAB – Contest Set‘;
Basic social media and streaming statistics;
A brief description of your artistic brand;

What is the selection timeline?

What criteria will the jury use?
The jury will evaluate based on artistic quality, uniqueness of style (UVP), motivation, export potential, and a balanced representation of countries and genders to ensure a diverse cohort.
I am from one of the eligible countries but I'm based in a different country. Can I also apply?
Yes, you can apply. However, please note that priority will be given to applicants who both originate from and are currently based in one of the eligible countries.
Will I receive money or a grant?
No. According to LIVEMX guidelines, financial re-granting is prohibited. Instead, the value participants receive includes training, stage exposure, and long-term mentoring—benefits that extend far beyond a one-time cash prize.
In which language is the programme delivered?
All workshops, mentoring sessions, and online resources are conducted in English. A B2 working proficiency is essential to participate.
Do I have to come for both days of the Carbon Silesia Festival?
Yes, it is required to attend both days of the festival.
How is my data used?
Your data will only be used for recruitment and program-related communication.
